Tip: Large amount of Barbados Dollar at the end of your holiday
If you stil have a large amount of Barbados Dollar at the end of your vacation (holiday), then you should exchange your Barbados Dollars into US Dollar while you are still in Barbados. Explanation: Many financial institutions treat Barbados Dollar as a so-called "exotic" currency. This usually means that you will probably get much less (e.g. in germany more than 25% less) for Barbados Dollar than for US Dollars at your home bank, even though it is worth the same.
And by the way it is actually quite clear that a bank can work a lot better with the worlds leading currency than a currency from a small island.
