Barbados uses the 110 volt U.S. power network

Barbados: The electricity network and outlets

The electricity network in Barbados is reliable and splendidly constructed. If you are not from the US you will usually need a 2-pin socket adapter for the standard U.S. electrical system.

The standard power supply in Barbados has 110 volt / 50 Hz and 2-pin sockets (system and sockets are the same as in the U.S.A.). Some individuals and hotels also have additional power supply and outlets for the 220-240 volts System. If you are not from the United States of America you will probably need a socket adapter for U.S. outlets.

Tip: Make sure that your electronic devices are able to work with the 110 volt system. A lot of modern electrical devices can be powered between 100 volts up to 240 volts. But to be sure you check all of your electrical devices. Mostly you will find this information on the back of your device or directly on the power connector (jack / plug). For example if it says something like 'INPUT: 110V-240V∼50/60Hz 0.2A', in this case your device works with an electrical power range from 110 volts to 240 volts. If it says '220V-240V' then DO NOT use it at a 110 volts system.
